Freddie Mac posted its best year ever in terms of mortgage business in 2003 as its new volume climbed to $826.42 billion – a healthy 28.6 percent increase over 2002’s level. But that paled against the record-shattering $1.42 trillion in new business and 67.6 percent jump recorded by Fannie Mae.
