Net interest margin securities will remain a key feature of the subprime landscape in 2002, Moody’s Investors Service predicted in a new report. “We expect issuers will continue to rely on IO and NIM securities to sell portions of excess spread and residual interests,” the rating agency said in its outlook for the subprime market in 2002.
