Ocwen Looking to Boost Its Non-Agency Servicing

After years of being prohibited by regulators from acquiring servicing rights, Ocwen Financial is back in business as a buyer in full force. In the fourth quarter of 2018, Ocwen started acquiring servicing rights. As of February-end, the nonbank had placed winning bids on mortgages with an unpaid principal balance of $5.4 billion.
