OTS Continues to Lead in CRA’s Highest Performance Category

The Office of Thrift Supervision maintained its considerable lead over other federal financial institution regulators in having the highest share of institutions with a Community Reinvestment Act performance rating of “outstanding” during the first half of 2006. An IRS analysis of CRA performance ratings during the first six months of this year found 27.27 percent of thrifts evaluated during the period received an “outstanding” rating. …
