State AGs File Amicus Opposing CT Federal Preemption Lawsuit

The war between federal and state regulators over federal preemption of state predatory lending laws took a dramatic turn last month with the entry of 35 state attorneys general into the fray. The state AGs made their opposition to federal preemption clear in an amicus brief they filed in federal district court in Connecticut in support of state Banking Commissioner John Burke.
