A subprime mortgage servicer and Chicago community activists have begun a new initiative under which foreclosure actions can be suspended until loan disputes are resolved. Fairbanks Capital Corp., a subprime servicing company, agreed to work with the National People’s Action on the “Fairbanks Hot Spot Initiative” to identify and remedy disputes involving mortgage loans in foreclosure.
