Report Recommends Changes to Increase Affordable Housing, Leaves Solution of Housing Bias, Loan Abuse Issues to Others

A commission appointed by Congress two years ago to do a policy study called for major reforms to increase the nation’s supply of affordable housing but none to curb housing discrimination and predatory lending. Community groups and organizations devoted to neighborhood development and revitalization have expressed concern that the Millennial Housing Commission’s report was silent on the two major issues affecting housing and a vulnerable segment of the population.
