Banks Rely on Education to Raise Consumer Awareness

The banking industry is investing heavily to educate consumers on predatory or abusive lending practices, hoping their awareness would help keep costly legislation or regulation to a minimum. Conducted by the Consumer Bankers Association for the second year, the survey found that 97 percent of banks have adopted financial literacy programs either through sponsorship or partnerships.
