Florida Lenders, Activists in Search of Bill Compromise
March 18, 2002
Florida lenders are negotiating with community groups over legislation designed to stop subprime lending abuses in the Sunshine State. Lenders and activists are at odds over provisions in SB 2380, which the industry supports and which recently passed out of committee in both the House and the Senate.
