Anxiety Rising Over Fed’s Revised HMDA Regulations

Lender concern is growing over aspects of the revised Home Mortgage Disclosure Act regulations, which the Federal Reserve Board published on Feb. 7 with a request for additional comments. Surprisingly, prime lenders have expressed the most concern about key issues even though the revised regulation implicitly excluded 98 percent of prime loans from its scope.
