Federal regulators should not just withdraw a regulation without notifying the public of its intent, especially if it can adversely impact minority and low-income people’s access to credit. The message came clear in a lawsuit filed recently by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition against the National Credit Union Administration, which regulates federally chartered credit unions.
