Shallow Pockets Hurting from GLB Privacy Requirements

Community banks are spending more than large banks in providing privacy notices to customers, according to a member survey conducted by America’s Community Bankers. Only a small fraction of bank customers prohibited their banks from disclosing their private financial information and most customers did not find privacy policies useful, the survey also found.
