Agencies Coast as Loans with Missing Race Data Increase

The volume of mortgage loans without racial or ethnicity data is rising at an alarming rate, but federal regulators apparently are not doing anything to stem the tide. Top officials in at least two banking regulatory agencies either are moving slowly or ignoring warnings raised in recent studies by agency experts.
