APR Disclosure Would Raise Lawsuit Risk, Lenders Warn

The mortgage industry wants to keep loan pricing information out of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act reports. Industry representatives at a meeting of the Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council last month urged regulators to keep loan-level pricing data private, warning that lenders could be swamped with new lawsuits as a result of such disclosure.
