CA Lawmakers Kill Bill, but Author to Seek a Rehearing

Privacy legislation that was thought to have perished in California’s state legislature last week could possibly make a comeback, according to state banking industry lobbyists. The bill was killed by a one-vote margin in the California Assembly’s Business and Finance Committee after lawmakers struggled with a "massive" number of amendments, according to Gregory Wilhelm, director of government relations with the California Bankers Association.
