Final HOEPA Rule Expected to be Out by Summer’s End

Mortgage lenders could expect to see proposed changes to the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act regulations to be finalized by the end of summer this year. A spokesperson for the Federal Reserve Board said the long-awaited HOEPA rules, which could expand the universe of loans that may be considered "high cost," may be out by late summer.
