Purchaser of Allegedly Predatory Loans Settles Assignee Liability Class Action for $20 Million

U.S. Bank National Association has agreed to pay up to $20 million to settle charges that it facilitated predatory lending practices by purchasing mortgage loans with abusive features from an originating lender that went bankrupt three years ago.
