S&P Issues Criteria for Credit-Risk Managers but Moody’s Remains Skeptical of Their Value Standard & Poor’s this week released criteria for evaluating the role of credit-risk managers in residential MBS transactions, which may lead to lower credit enhancement levels for issuers that use these firms to mitigate losses. Moody’s, however, is waiting to see more proof that using CRMs really makes a difference.
