Passage of Terrorism Insurance Legislation Seen to Boost Economy, Spur Commercial MBS Issues

The passage of terrorism insurance legislation by Congress this week is being hailed as the right step to jump-start the economy and provide much-needed help to the beleaguered commercial real estate market. John Courson, chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, said in a statement that enactment will help move billions of dollars in commercial property deals to closure that had
