Subprime MBS Investors Should Pay Attention to Issuer’s Due Diligence Practices, Fitch Says

Buyers of subprime home loans are focusing more on their due diligence practices as the market has evolved, says Fitch Ratings, and investors in these securities should do so as well. The strong subprime mortgage originations market has spawned growth for a number of small specialty finance companies that usually don’t have direct access to the capital markets, the rating agency says
